Dan is a division of GoDaddy. We think it's a great place to buy domain names. They act as the intermediary, handling your payment and holding it until the name has successfully transferred to you. One advantage of making the purchase at Dan is that you can choose where your domain name will be registered, and are not tied to any particular registrar.
On Dan, most names are available with a lease-to-own option. Under that plan, you pay for the name over a number of months, taking full ownership when the payments complete. In the meantime, you have use of the name for creating a website or redirecting the name to an existing website.
If you prefer to purchase a name somewhere else, most of our names can be purchased at Afternic/GoDaddy, at Sedo, or at the registrar marketplace where the name is currently registered. Just send us a message if you would like to know options for a particular name.
